PRINCETON, Mass. (AP) — A 12-year-old boy has been injured in a 20-foot fall from a ski lift in central Massachusetts, but is expected to survive.
Carolyn Stimpson, co-owner of Wachusett Mountain in Princeton, tells The Telegram & Gazette (http://bit.ly/1RxDo6F ) the boy was with other youths and acknowledged "messing around" on the lift before he fell Sunday at about 9:15 p.m.
He was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.
The boy's name was not released but he is from Westminster and has a season pass to the ski area.
Stimpson said she asked the father once the son recovers if he would be willing to come back and do a safety video for the ski area.
