CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) _ Nikki Teasley had 21 points and six steals, and No. 19 North Carolina used a suffocating defense and accurate shooting in the second half to defeat Lehigh 76-47 Saturday night.

The Tar Heels (12-2) trailed 14-11 in the first half before going on an 18-0 run on the way to a 38-24 lead at the break.

North Carolina's defense forced 13 steals and 24 Lehigh turnovers as the Tar Heels stretched their lead in the second half on 56 percent shooting.

Teasley was 4-of-6 from 3-point range, while Candace Sutton added 16 points and Coretta Brown 14 for North Carolina.

The loss was the sixth straight for Lehigh (4-9), which got 17 points from Carli Toliver and 15 from Anne Tierney. The Mountain Hawks shot only 32 percent (18-of-57) for the game.
