GEDDES, N.Y. (AP) — Police say a teenager was stabbed in the chest and two women later tumbled through glass while fighting at the New York State Fair.

New York State Police say it happened Sunday at the fairgrounds near Syracuse.

The 17-year-old who was stabbed remained hospitalized in stable condition Monday. He was wounded around 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the fair's restaurant row.

Troopers say about 20 minutes later, two women fell through a glass section of a food stand while fighting. A 20-year-old was treated at a hospital and released.

Police say they also broke up other fights and disturbances at the fairgrounds Sunday night.

Fair spokesman Dave Bullard says it continues to be safe for visitors and over 200 troopers there quickly handled any problems.

The 13-day fair ends Monday night.
