INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Raymond Philyaw threw for 257 yards and five touchdowns and the Indiana Firebirds beat the Detroit Fury 56-38 Friday night to snap a three-game losing streak.

Philyaw was 23-of-32 for Indiana (4-5), while Eddie Brown caught six passes for 58 yards and two touchdowns. Leroy Thompson rushed seven times for 11 yards and one touchdown.

Scott Semptimphelter was 28-of-36 for 299 yards and six touchdowns for the Fury (1-8). Chuck Winters had 10 catches for 147 yards and four touchdowns, while Chuck Levy had seven receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown.

Philyaw and Brown hooked up for a touchdown with 12 seconds left in the first half for a 22-13 lead and Thompson's 1-yard TD early in the third quarter gave the Firebirds a 17-point lead.
