RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) _ Panhandle State, with Rance Bray and Ryan Rodewald atop the saddle-bronc standings, took the men's team lead after Thursday night's performance of the College National Finals Rodeo.

Bray had a two-ride total of 156 points, and Rodewald was second at 150. The top 12 in each event after three go-rounds advance to Saturday's finals.

K.C. Stone of the College of Southern Idaho was the top bull rider with a three-ride total of 221 points. Southwest Oklahoma State's Davey Shields led the bareback competition, Western Montana's Bernard Getten was the top steer wrestler, Murray State's Jerome Schneeberger led in calf roping, and Western Texas' Josh Crow and Vernon Regional's Jody Peterson topped the team roping.

Weber State led the women's team standings, while Montana's Rachael Myllymaki topped the barrel racing competition. In other women's events, West Hills' Toni Arave led in breakaway roping, and Dickinson's Faye Laduke was the goat tying leader.

Panhandle State has 503.33 points in the men's competition, followed by Southwestern Oklahoma State (285), Dickinson State (220), Wyoming (195) and Blue Mountain Community College (153.33).

Weber State's women's team had 325 points, followed by Lewis-Clark State (270), Montana (210), Vernon Regional Junior College (195) and West Hills College (160).
