3 members of Kentucky family killed in Tennessee crash

SPENCER, Tenn. (AP) — A single-vehicle crash on a Tennessee highway has killed three members of a Kentucky family.
News outlets report the Tennessee Highway Patrol report says a SUV suddenly turned left, crossed the median and rolled over four times on Sunday. The crash ejected six passengers and left one person trapped.
Thirty-three-year-old Josefina Mateo Gomez and two of her children, 18-year-old Emily Mateo and 11-year-old Ivan Mateo, died at the scene. Nineteen-year-old Lesly Mateo, 34-year-old Gasper Gomez, a 14-year-old and a 17-year-old were airlifted to a hospital. Their exact conditions are unknown, but two are listed in very critical condition.
The report says the driver was the only one wearing a seatbelt. It is unclear who was driving.
The precise cause of the crash is unknown.
The family is from Wayne County.
