Radford outlasts Howard 61-52

RADFORD, Va. (AP) — R.J. Price scored a team high 14 points, Taj Owens added 11 off the bench, and Radford beat Howard 61-52 on Thursday night.
With the game tied at 34 with 10:15 left in the second half, the Highlanders put together a 15-5 run over the next 5:44, capped off by a Brandon Holcomb layup that gave Radford a 49-39 lead. Howard would make one final run, cutting the Highlanders lead to four with just over a minute to play, but would ultimately fall short.
Javonte Green and Rashun Davis would each add 10 points for Radford (1-2), with Green also finishing with eight rebounds and four steals; while Davis had a game high five assists.
Howard's James Miller was the game's leading scorer with 19 points. James Daniel Iii added 16 for the Bison (1-3).
