FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — A woman who pleaded not guilty to fatally stabbing a Fall River man is held on $500,000 bail.
Thirty-seven-year-old Adrienne Brown was arraigned Monday on charges of murder and aggravated assault in the death of 53-year-old Brian Jones on Saturday. Prosecutors said she turned herself in to police earlier Monday.
The Herald News reports (http://bit.ly/1EQd1gc) prosecutor Courtney Cahill said Brown stabbed Jones after he argued with her adult daughter, who lives with him, over $50.
Cahill said police found Brown bleeding from his wounds Saturday afternoon with two people trying to help him. He died at a hospital.
Cahill said Jones had argued with Brown's daughter about an hour before the stabbing. The daughter is not a suspect in his death.
Adrienne Brown returns to court June 29.
