Giga Leader Weiler Resigns

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) _ Robert K. Weiler has resigned as chairman and chief executive of technology research and advisory firm Giga Information Group, the company said Friday.
Weiler said in a statement he will return to his roots in the software business by becoming chief executive of a privately-held software firm in the Boston area. Giga declined to name the company.
Weiler will remain as president and CEO until Oct. 17. Longtime board member Richard L. Crandall was named board chairman.
