BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Authorities say an armed robbery and shooting culminated in the arrest of three apparent victims on drug charges.
Baton Rouge police told news outlets that the two armed robbers remain at large and police are searching for them.
Authorities say the home invasion and armed robbery happened at an apartment complex called The Lodges on Wednesday night. Sgt. Don Coppola Jr. says one of the arrested men was shot during the incident and received non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators believe the men were targeted for drugs or money. According to a probable cause report, authorities found nearly 2.5 pounds (1 kilogram) of marijuana and over 100 MDMA pills in the apartment.
Police arrested 22-year-olds Orlando McMiller and Cade Duckworth and 23-year-old Dominique Davis on drug charges. It's unclear if they have lawyers.
