Clintons' Christmas Plans

WASHINGTON (AP) _ The first family will be spending Christmas in the White House, but then it will be home to Arkansas for the holidays.
There also will be a trip to Hilton Head, S.C., for a few days.
President Clinton plans to do as little work as possible on his vacation, Press Secretary Dee Dee Myers said. ''He may do some reading, but nothing formal.''
Aides say the tentative schedule has Clinton arriving in Little Rock, Ark., on Tuesday. He had planned to leave Monday for Arkansas, but the scheduled changed late Thursday.
His mother, Virginia Kelley, has stayed at the White House the past several days, and will return home to Arkansas with her son.
Tuesday night, Clinton plans to attend a University of Arkansas basketball game in Fayetteville, Ark.. He heads to Hilton Head Island on Wednesday to attend an annual social and public policy retreat.
The Clintons will be away from Washington until Jan. 2.
