DALLAS (AP) _ Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki was questionable for Tuesday night's game against the Portland Trail Blazers because of an ankle injury.
``It's a game-time decision,'' spokesman Gregg Elkins said.
The All-Star forward strained his left ankle in the second quarter of Monday night's 105-96 victory over Utah and didn't return for the second half. He said he rolled the ankle over another player's foot.
After Monday's game, Nowitzki said he would try to play against Portland.
Nowitzki averages 23.8 points and 10.2 rebounds, leading his team in both categories.
He has missed two games this season because of ankle problems, the first time in his four-year career he sat because of injuries.
The Mavericks are a half-game ahead of the Spurs for the Midwest Division title and the No. 2 playoff position in the Western Conference.
