Cops: Rapist carved slur in woman's skin with kitchen knife
Oct. 30, 2015
PLUM, Pa. (AP) — Police say a Pennsylvania man raped a woman and carved a slur on her stomach with a kitchen knife.
Twenty-seven-year-old Michael Decarolis, of Turtle Creek, faces a preliminary hearing Nov. 4 on charges including rape and aggravated assault.
Police say Decarolis went to the woman's home in Plum Borough, where he grabbed a kitchen knife and used it to mutilate her and force her to have sex. Allegheny County detectives say Decarolis threatened the woman with a knife again to get her to give him a ride home after the Oct. 23 attack.
Decarolis remained jailed Friday.
His attorney says Decarolis will be pleading not guilty and looks forward to a "thorough" preliminary hearing.
