OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Nolan Johnson scored 21 points as No. 17 Oklahoma rallied from a 10-point deficit to beat Southern Methodist 79-78 in overtime Saturday in the championship of the Touchstone Energy All-College Tournament.

Johnson, named the tournament's most valuable player, sank two free throws with 1:20 left to lift the Sooners to victory.

Oklahoma (11-1) trailed by five points early in overtime, but rallied for their fourth straight All-College title as SMU (9-3) missed two 3-pointers and a tip attempt in the last 46.6 seconds.

Johnson's bank shot with 5.9 second left in regulation tied the game at 72-72.

SMU's Jeryl Sasser missed a 3-pointer attempt at the buzzer to end regulation. The Mustangs' Quinton Ross missed a 3-pointer with 2 seconds left in overtime and DeWayne Floyd missed a tip at the buzzer.

Kelley Newton scored 20 points and Hollis Price 11 for Oklahoma, which won the tournament for the 17th time. The Sooners have won the tournament 15 of the last 18 years.

Reserve guard Tim Heskett made three 3-pointers to help rally Oklahoma after SMU opened a 59-49 lead with 10:03 left.

Damon Hancock scored 18 points to pace SMU, which led 43-37 at halftime.

Willie Davis added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Mustangs. Ross had 14 points, and Floyd and Sasser 13 apiece.
