WACO, Texas (AP) _ Amie Smith scored 25 points and No. 11 Texas used clutch free-throw shooting in overtime for an 82-71 victory over Baylor on Wednesday night.

Angie Joe Ogletree and Edwina Brown each hit a pair of free throws in the waning moments of overtime for the Lady Longhorns (17-4, 9-2 Big 12).

Texas built a nine-point lead in the second half, but Baylor's Kacy Moffitt helped keep the Bears within striking distance.

Moffitt, who finished with 19 points for Baylor (11-10, 4-7), hit a pair of free throws to pull the Bears within 63-62 with two minutes left.

Baylor's Nicole Palmer hit a 3-pointer with 40 seconds remaining that tied it at 67. Smith then put Texas ahead 69-67 but Moffitt responded with a jumper that forced overtime with 5.3 seconds left.

Texas, hindered by 15 turnovers, trailed for much of the first half but battled back and led 33-30 at halftime.

Toya Ellis scored 16 points for Baylor, while Palmer added 11.

Ogletree added 13 points and Angela Jackson 12 for Texas.
