KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Singer Neil Sedaka was released from Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee on Tuesday after treatment for undisclosed health problems.
The 61-year-old crooner of such '60s pop hits as ``Calender Girl,'' ``Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen'' and ``Breaking Up Is Hard to Do'' entered the hospital Saturday after bowing out of a second-night performance with the Knoxville Symphony Pops Orchestra.
Hospital spokeswoman Gretchen Church said Sedaka left with his wife and manager, Leba Sedaka. ``According to what he put on his discharge papers, he was on his way back to New York,'' she said.
