In this photo by Deepak Sharma, farming women look at wheat damaged by unseasonal rain and hail in the village of Govingpura in the outskirts of Jaipur in north-central India's Rajasthan state. The recent rainfall caused massive damage to standing crops in northwest and central India. Further north, the Jammu-Srinagar highway that connects the Kashmir valley to India was closed for the third day Tuesday because of heavy rain and snow. Hundreds of vehicles were stranded, waiting for the highway to reopen.
