Former NY day care worker charged with child sex-abuse

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (AP) — A former New York day care worker is charged with sexually abusing two children at his place of employment.
The Post-Star says David L. Saladin is accused of having sexual contact with two children under the age of 11 late last year and earlier this year in Queensbury.
Lt. Steve Stockdale says the Warren County sheriff's office began investigating after one of the children's parents made a complaint to the state child abuse hotline.
He says the day care is cooperating and fired Saladin after learning of the allegations.
Posts made through a Facebook account in Saladin's name show he had solicited babysitting work in Warren, Washington and Saratoga counties since 2013.
He has no prior criminal record.
Saladin has pleaded not guilty. His lawyer declined to comment on Tuesday.
