MIAMI (AP) _ Alonzo Mourning scored 24 points and Voshon Lenard added 23 as the Miami Heat beat Orlando 107-96 Tuesday night, handing the Magic their first preseason loss after six wins.
Mourning and P.J. Brown dominated the Magic's smaller front line. Brown had 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Lenard was 5-of-7 from 3-point range.
Rookie guard Chucky Atkins led Orlando with 15 points, including 13 during a fourth-quarter rally that cut Miami's 19-point lead to 87-81.
Pat Garrity's 3-pointer and putback for Orlando made it 89-84, but Tim Hardaway's steal led to a Mourning dunk for a 91-86 Miami lead with 6:03 left.
The Heat then pulled away on Dan Majerle's 3-pointer and Mourning's rebound basket, which made it 99-90 with 2:51 left.
Miami committed 19 turnovers, giving the Heat 102 in their last four games. Garrity, Michael Doleac, Darrell Armstrong each scored 12 for the Magic.
