WHAT'S AT STAKE
Ohio State is looking to extend the nation's longest winning streak to 21 games and its conference regular-season winning streak to 28, one shy of the NCAA record set by Florida State of the ACC from 1992-95. Rutgers will be looking for its first win over a No. 1 team.
Rutgers porous defense against Ohio State backfield that features QB J.T. Barrett and TB Ezekiel Elliott. Barrett ran for 107 yards and two touchdowns and threw for 261 and three TDs in 56-17 win over Scarlet Knights last year. Elliott has rushed for 988 yards and 11 TDs this season. Rutgers defense is giving up 447.3 yards and Big Ten opponents have averaged 37 points.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Ohio State: DE Joey Bosa. Rutgers coach Kyle Flood says the junior might be the best player in college football. The 6-foot-6, 275 pounder has 23½ career sacks and 43½ career tackles for losses, including nine this season.
Rutgers: QB Chris Laviano. The first-year starter leads the Big Ten with a completion percentage of 69.2 and is second with an efficiency mark of 156.1. He has completed 45-of-60 attempts on first down plays, with 24 for a first down and eight touchdowns. He threw for a career-best 386 yards at Indiana, including 7-of-8 for 105 yards in the fourth quarter to engineer comeback.
