Maryland doctor charged with sex offenses against patients
Dec. 21, 2017
TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Police in a Baltimore suburb have arrested a physician they say sexually assaulted two patients, including a 16-year-old girl.
Baltimore County Police said in a statement that officers arrested 54-year-old Dr. Alberto Yataco on Wednesday. He is charged with rape, sex abuse of a minor, assault and other sex offenses. He is being held without bail pending a preliminary hearing in January.
Authorities say Yataco owns and operates Get Well Immediate Care in Towson. Police say they got a complaint from a 16-year-old girl that Yataco touched her inappropriately during routine medical treatment.
Investigators say they heard from a 28-year-old woman who says Yataco touched her in a manner that did not seem consistence with her medical symptoms.
Online court records don't list a lawyer for Yataco.
