Mar. 08, 2016
ADAMS, Mass. (AP) — An Adams man who fired a BB gun at two school buses, showering a child with broken glass, has been released after pleading not guilty to several charges.
The Berkshire Eagle (http://bit.ly/1M4lFNc ) reports that police say 20-year-old Bailey Hisert had been using the BB gun to shoot squirrels outside his home on Friday when he turned the gun on the buses. Each bus had only a driver and single passenger. No injuries were reported.
When officers came to his neighborhood to look for the shooter, Hisert immediately gave himself up.
Police say Hisert expressed remorse, saying "I messed up big time," and "I feel horrible."
He was released without bail with GPS monitoring after his arraignment Monday on several charges, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
