Mar. 30, 2018
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — The state parks office is extending the sale period for its 2018 Empire Pass Card that gives holders access to all New York state parks for one price.
The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation says the $65 sale is being extended through April 8. After that the passes will be available for $80.
Parks officials say over the last four months more than 40,000 of the Empire Pass Cards have been sold at the discounted $65 price.
The passes are valid for the entire year and are good for entry to more than 250 state parks, historic sites, recreational trails, beaches and boat launches.
The shareable, wallet-sized plastic cards are available at state parks or online.
The Empire Pass decals for vehicle windows are no longer being offered.
