ST. LOUIS (AP) — Gary Woodland was the leader at 10 under when the second round of the PGA Championship was suspended at Bellerive Country Club, where a band of strong storms brought heavy rains. Woodland is one shot better than Kevin Kisner (KIHZ'-nur) after both completed morning rounds without any issue. Nobody in the afternoon wave Friday finished their second round, which means big names such as Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas will have to resume play at 7 a.m. Saturday.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) — Members of the University of Maryland athletic staff have been placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of a review of the death of football player Jordan McNair in June. In a statement to ESPN, Maryland said the alleged behavior of head coach DJ Durkin and strength and conditioning coach Rick Court were "troubling and not consistent with our approach to the coaching and development of our student athletes." The statement comes after an ESPN story, citing unidentified sources, described a program led by Durkin and Court rife with verbal abuse and humiliation of players.

Police say Sandor Szabo banged on Jones' SUV window early Sunday, apparently thinking the vehicle was his Uber ride, after attending his stepsister's wedding. Jones turned himself in to police Thursday and was arraigned on a misdemeanor assault charge.
