SHACKLEFORDS, Va. (AP) _ A plane with a pilot and 10 parachutists aboard crashed into a house Sunday evening, killing everyone aboard, authorities said.
The house, about 3 1/2 miles east of Shacklefords in eastern Virginia, caught fire, state police spokeswoman Mary Evans said. It was not immediately known if anyone was inside.
The plane, a Beechcraft Queen Air BE-65, took off from West Point Municipal Airport, about 5 miles from the crash scene, said Arlene Salac, a spokeswoman with the Federal Aviation Administration.
The craft can be used as a six- to nine-seat business plane or as a cargo transport.
