Police identify Boston's first homicide victim of 2016

BOSTON (AP) — Police in Boston have identified the city's first homicide victim of 2016.
Police say officers found 16-year-old Christofer Perez-De la Cruz suffering from gunshot wounds near East Boston High School around 1:36 a.m. Sunday.
Perez-De la Cruz was transported from the Falcon Street crime scene to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Officer Rachel McGuire says no further information about the victim was available.
Perez-De la Cruz's death remains under investigation. The gunman is still wanted.
Police are asking those with information to call authorities.
