EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) _ Ato Boldon joined training partner Maurice Greene on the sidelines at the World Championships on Monday, pulling out of the 200 meters.
Boldon, the 1997 world champion in the 200, complained of back pain after finishing fourth behind Greene in the 100 Sunday.
Boldon won the silver medal in the 100 and the bronze in the 200 for Trinidad and Tobago at the Sydney Olympics.
Greene withdrew from the 200 and the 400-meter relay because of a strained left thigh.
The heats for the 200 are Tuesday.
