LONDON (AP) — Team Sky says Bradley Wiggins has signed a contract extension until the end of April and will compete in the 2015 Paris-Roubaix.

The 34-year-old Wiggins has been with Team Sky since its inaugural season in 2010 and is targeting victory in France later this year.

He says the single-day cobblestone classic in the French capital "is a special race for me" and that "it's one of the toughest races in the calendar and my aim is to improve on my ninth-place finish last year."

After the event, Wiggins will begin preparations for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
