BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) _ State and federal authorities arrested 61 people in four cities and seized more than $300,000 Thursday in a sting operation they said dismantled a large international drug trafficking ring.

The investigation, dubbed Operation Deja Vu, began in July and targeted heroin and cocaine trafficking groups that came out of Puerto Rico and Colombia, said John B. Brown, acting administrator for the Drug Enforcement Administration.

``This operation was so successful because it takes out the entire organization,'' New York State Police Maj. Michael McManus said.

Authorities seized more than 1,500 grams of crack and more than 2,300 grams of cocaine in New York, Buffalo, Rochester, and Springfield, Mass.

Since the investigation began last summer, 67 people have been arrested in seven cities.
