LOS ANGELES (AP) _ UCLA football coach Bob Toledo has agreed on a new seven-year contract that will pay him $578,000 annually.

The deal runs through the 2005 season and includes a rollover clause, athletic director Peter Dalis said Friday.

``I have repeatedly stated that UCLA is where I want to coach and I'm looking forward to building on the foundation that we have established over the last few years,'' Toledo said in a statement.

UCLA finished 10-2, with losses in its last two games _ a defeat at Miami that cost the Bruins a spot in the Fiesta Bowl for the national championship, and a loss to Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl.

Instead, the Bruins landed in the Rose Bowl game, where Wisconsin won 38-31.
