Paraguay's Franco leads Token Corporation Cup

SATSUMA, Japan (AP) _ Paraguay's Carlos Franco shot a 7-under-par 65 today to take a three-stroke lead over American Brain Watts after the first round of the Japan PGA's season-opening Token Corporation Cup.
Franco, seeking his fourth victory in Japan, had eight birdies and a bogey on the Kedouin Golf Club course. Watts, the 1987 NCAA champion at Oklahoma State, has won eight times on the Japanese tour.
American Rick Hartmann was five back after a 70, while Japanese star Jumbo Ozaki, the tour's leading money winner the last three seasons, joined American Brandt Jobe and Australia's Peter Senior at 71.
