ATLANTA (AP) _ Kevin Martin scored 20 points and had nine rebounds to lead North Carolina-Asheville back from an 11-point deficit to a 73-72 victory over Georgia State Monday night.

Martin hit a baseline layup with 1:22 left to give the Bulldogs a 67-65 lead after trailing for almost the entire game, and they held onto the lead to the end.

Josh Pittman added 19 points for NC-Asheville (9-6), and Mike Matthews had 12.

Rodney Hamilton's 16 points and 10 assists led the Panthers (4-10). Terrence Evans scored 15, Tildon Wright 14 and Shellord Pinkett 13, including a 3-pointer with 8.6 seconds remaining to make it 73-72.
