Jul. 11, 2018
BALTIMORE (AP) — Maryland police say two teens have been arrested on charges including assault after they tried to escape police by ramming an officer's car with a stolen Jeep.
The Baltimore Sun quotes Baltimore County Police as saying officers got a report of a suspicious vehicle Monday evening and discovered it was stolen. Police say officers prepared to arrest the Jeep's occupants by blocking it in the road with two cruisers.
Police say 16-year-old Jeremy Patrick Hager then sped up and drove over the front bumper and hood of one cruiser, disabling it. The Jeep's six occupants left the vehicle and fled. Hager and 19-year-old passenger Derek Darnelle Stroman were caught and arrested. Hager has been charged as an adult. It's unclear if Hager or Stroman have an attorney.
