Apple Employees See Film On Danger Of Leaks
Dec. 08, 1988
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ Apple Computer Inc., a company plagued by news leaks, has produced a humorous short film for new employees on the dangers of loose lips.
The film, which began showing this week, is aimed at stopping what is referred to as ''the leak of the week'' at Apple. The company's most recent leak is that it is supposedly developing a lap-top Macintosh.
The film opens with Apple Chairman and President John Sculley having nightmares of an employee casually mentioning his latest project to a friend, who tells another friend, and so forth.
The project is ''a humorous piece that shows how things can leak out,'' said Apple spokeswoman Chris Escher.
The film's existence was leaked to the San Jose Mercury News, which reported on it in its Wednesday editions.
