LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Lisa Leslie had 22 points and 13 rebounds as the Los Angeles Sparks beat the Seattle Storm 79-60 Saturday night, matching the WNBA record with their 15th consecutive victory.
Los Angeles (24-3) tied the record of 15 straight wins set by the Houston Comets during the 1998 season. The Sparks also extended their league-record home winning streak to 19 games.
Tamecka Dixon scored 14 points for Los Angeles. Nicky McCrimmon added 11 and Latsha Byears 10 as the Sparks outrebounded the Storm 48-30.
Los Angeles shot 47.1 percent, while Seattle shot 33.8 percent.
Lauren Jackson scored a season-high 26 points for the Storm (9-19), who lost their fourth straight. Michelle Marciniak added a career-high 15 points in a reserve role.
Seattle trailed 38-13 at the end of the first half. The Storm closed within six points, 44-38, with 13:33 left.
Leslie started a 9-0 run with a 3-pointer and a layup, pushing the Sparks' lead to 53-38 with 11:43 remaining. Los Angeles led by at least 13 the remainder of the game.
