BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) _ Todd Warriner scored two goals, assisted by Tie Domi on both, and the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Buffalo Sabres 5-2 in an exhibition game Sunday night.
Toronto took a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Jason Podollan and Derek King.
Buffalo's first goal came on a power play at 13:54 of the first period when Brian Holzinger backhanded the puck past Felix Potvin's stick side.
The Sabres, just back from training in Austria and playing their only exhibition game at home, tied the game 2:40 into the second period on a goal by Jason Holland.
The Maple Leafs answered with goals by Warriner and Yannick Tremblay at 7:26 and 15:59 of the second period to go ahead 4-2. Warriner's second goal at 8:54 of the third period closed the scoring.
