Grant Hill Sits Out Mavericks-Pistons Game
Nov. 07, 1996
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) _ After taking part in warmups, Grant Hill of the Pistons sat on the bench in street clothes Wednesday night as a sore wrist kept him out of Detroit's game against the Dallas Mavericks.
Hill originally sprained his right wrist in Detroit's season opener against Indiana, and he reported soreness after an 83-81 victory over Philadelphia on Tuesday night.
X-rays were negative, and the Pistons said his status is day-to-day.
Hill, a two-year veteran, averaged 23.0 points, 12.3 rebounds and 7.7 assists in Detroit's first three games. He was the only NBA player to lead his team in all three categories last season.
Lindsey Hunter replaced Hill in the starting lineup.
