BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) — Andre Walker scored 32 points and grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds, and his jumper with 1:49 to go in the second overtime put Loyola (MD) ahead for good in a 91-88 win Wednesday night.
Walker's shot followed Sam Norton's 3-pointer on the prior possession and Loyola (6-14, 4-5 Patriot League) led 86-85. Norton followed with a layup, Andrew Kostecka made 1 of 2 foul shots and Walker made a pair from the line with 18 seconds remaining to complete a 10-0 run.
Kyle Leufroy buried a 3 seven seconds later before Marques Wilson intentionally fouled Norton to send him to the line where he missed both free throws. Out of timeouts, Lehigh pushed the ball but Kahron Ross and Lance Tejada each missed their 3s for the chance to tie.
Loyola's Cam Gregory's layup with 51 seconds left in the first overtime knotted it at 79 and each team missed on their final possession. Tejada made 1 of 2 from the line with 10 seconds left in regulation to tie it at 72.
Ross made a pair of free throws and Lehigh led 66-55 with 4:37 to go in regulation before Loyola used a 13-0 run in the next 2½ minutes for a two-point lead.
Gregory added 24 points for Loyola and Kostecka had 12. Wilson led Lehigh (8-12, 3-6) with 19 points and Ross and Tejada each scored 15.
