Finnish police hold 3 on suspected terror crimes

HELSINKI (AP) — Finnish police say they have detained three men suspected of participating in the operations of an armed group abroad.
The National Bureau of Investigation says the three men, with Finnish nationalities, were arrested Tuesday in the metropolitan Helsinki region.
The agency said the detentions were "the result of information collected" by the agency, but gave no other details.
In a brief statement, the agency said the arrests were not linked to four people being charged with financing terrorism by collecting money for an al-Qaida linked militant group in Somalia. That case opens next month in a Helsinki court.
