ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) _ Marla Runyan won the Freihofer's Run for Women on Saturday for the third straight year, finishing two seconds off the course record in the 5-kilometer race.

Runyan of Eugene, Ore., who is legally blind, was timed in 15 minutes, 26 seconds. Elva Dryer of Albuquerque, N.M., was next in 15:42 in the field of about 3,500 runners.

The record was set in 1995 by Lynn Jennings, who won the race four straight times.

Colleen De Reuck, 40, Boulder, Colo., was third in 15:47, a masters record.
