FLORISSANT, Mo. (AP) — A man has been charged with fatally shooting one man and wounding another at a suburban St. Louis sports bar after an argument that one witness said started over the weight of a dog.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 54-year-old Neal Myers was charged Tuesday with second-degree murder and other charges in the shooting that killed 43-year-old Scott Beary, of Winchester. Bond for Myers was set at $250,000. No attorney is listed for him in online court records.
Prosecutors say Beary was leaving Show-Me's Sports Bar & Grill in Florissant earlier this month when Myers insulted him. Myers is accused of firing his gun when Beary raised his arm for a punch. Beary was the father of three teenagers and a premature infant who recently died.
