ATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta Hawks have drafted shooting guard Marcus Eriksson of Sweden with the 50th pick of the NBA draft.

General manager Wes Wilcox said that Eriksson missed last season with a torn knee ligament and is still under contract with Barcelona.

Wilcox added that the 6-foot-7, 178-pound Eriksson will spend next season playing overseas.

Eriksson was the Hawks' first draft pick of Thursday after the team traded the No. 15 spot to Washington for two second-round picks and the 19th spot to New York for guard Tim Hardaway Jr.
