CAIRO, Egypt (AP) _ A ferry boat carrying 30 teen-age girls to work capsized today in the Nile, and seven were believed dead.
The boat overturned near the village of Rashid, north of Cairo, police officials said. Twenty-three girls were rescued, and the bodies of three others were found, the officials said.
A search continued for the four missing girls, but they were believed to have drowned, police said.
The ferry was carrying the girls to a village where they work in the fields. The ferry's captain was in custody for questioning.
