NBC Extends 'ER' Through 2004
Apr. 28, 2000
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ The prognosis is good for Noah Wyle and the staff of ``ER.''
NBC said Friday it has extended the show's run through the 2003-04 season.
TV viewers ``can rest assured that television's favorite doctors of all time will be making house calls at NBC for at least the next four years,'' said Garth Ancier, president of NBC Entertainment.
``ER'' premiered in 1994 and has been the No. 1 drama on television for six consecutive seasons.
While former stars Sherry Stringfield and George Clooney have checked out and Julianna Margulies is leaving at the end of this season, original cast members Wyle, Anthony Edwards and Eriq La Salle have said they'll stick with the show.
