NEW YORK (AP) _ Gregg Chodkowski had two 3-pointers in a late 10-0 run as Marist posted a 65-53 victory over Fairfield on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.
The game was tied 47-47 when Chodkowski hit his first 3-pointer of the game with 5:43 to play. Danny Basile hit a long jumper for the Red Foxes (10-7) with 4:32 left and Chodkowski hit his second 3-pointer with 4:00 to play. Alan Tomidy capped the run with two free throws with 3:16 left and Marist had a 57-47 lead.
The Stags (11-9) went 4:02 without scoring, missing four shots and committing a turnover. Fairfield was never closer than 6 points the rest of the game.
Tomidy led Marist with 17 points, while Basile had 16 and Chodkowski 10.
Greg Francis finished with 16 points for the Stags and Sean Clarke added 14.
