EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) _ Edmonton Oilers goalie Tommy Salo signed a three-year, $10.4 million contract extension Thursday.

Salo, 29, who led Sweden to its first Olympic hockey gold medal in 1994, is making $1.8 million this season.

Salo is 6-4-2 this season with a 2.55 goals-against average. He was 27-28-13 with a 2.53 GAA last season, his first full season with the Oilers following a 1999 trade with the New York Islanders.
