NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) _ Scottie Upshall had a goal and an assist to lead the Nashville Predators to a 2-0 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday.

Upshall, Nashville's top choice in this year's entry draft, made his case for a roster spot with the Predators, scoring on the power play at 11:17 of the first period.

He also assisted on Vladimir Orszagh's goal at 4:56 of the second period _ also a power-play goal. The Blackhawks were 0-6 on the power play.

Tomas Vokoun stopped all 23 shots he faced.

Nashville's Scott Hartnell did not play due to a groin strain. Also missing was Nashville's Scott Walker, who went to Canada to attend his grandmother's funeral.
