BOISE, Idaho (AP) _ Matt Sauk passed for 299 yards and one touchdown and ran for two scores and freshman Demario Brown ran for 165 yards to lead Utah State to a 39-14 rout of Boise State in the Big West on Saturday night.

The Aggies (4-4, 2-0 Big West) took a 10-7 lead on Micah Knorr's 47-yard field goal on the last play of the first half and didn't look back after erupting for 23 third-quarter points.

Sauk completed 20-of-33 passes, including a 21-yard touchdown throw to Nakia Jenkins in the fourth quarter.

Sauk opened the scoring with a 1-yard run with 3:31 in the first quarter. The Broncos (1-7, 0-2) tied it 7-7 on a 24-yard pass from Tony Hilde to Andre Horace on the second play of the second quarter.

After Knorr's field goal gave Utah State a 10-7 lead at intermission, the Aggies scored 17 unanswered points in the third quarter.

Brown scored on a 31-yard run, Sauk scored from 1 yard out, and Knorr added a 27-yard field goal to increase the Aggies' lead to 27-7.

Hilde and Horace teamed for another long touchdown, a 56-yarder, for the Broncos' final score.

Abu Wilson added a 3-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter and Sauk and Jenkins combined on a 21-yard touchdown pass to round out the scoring.

The Aggies held Hilde to 161 yards passing and the Boise State rushing game to 71 yards.
