BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — A Vermont arts organization is getting a new leader.
The Burlington-based Flynn Center for the Arts announced Monday that it has hired Anna Marie Gewirtz for its top job.
Gewirtz most recently served as acting president and CEO at State Theatre New Jersey.
She will succeed John Killacky, who announced last year that he was stepping down.
The Flynn Center says Gewirtz has 20 years of experience in arts and cultural institutions. She managed a 1,850-seat New Jersey theater that generates more than $10 million in annual revenue. The Flynn has an annual budget of $7.7 million.
The Flynn Center's Staige Davis says Gewirtz's hallmarks include great communication, marketing, operational and team building skills, fundraising success, and leadership ability.
