Bonds Hits 658th Career Homer

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) _ Barry Bonds hit his 658th career home run Friday night in the fourth inning of the San Francisco Giants' game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Hank Aaron leads the career list with 755, followed by Babe Ruth at 714. Bonds is two homers shy of tying his godfather, Willie Mays, for third place with 660.
Bonds sent a 1-0 pitch from Kazuhisa Ishii into the seats in right-center for his 45th homer of the season, giving the NL West champion Giants a 7-1 lead.
Ishii became the 388th pitcher to give up a homer to Bonds.
